Only after we experience these responses that we have the corresponding emotional responses. Could do this with a drug - drug that produces the flight or fight response (sns). If you have a person smile, force their mouth to smile by putting a pencil in there vs above lower lip = frown. Neither of these expressions are connected to a stimulus.
