Defined: the unrealistic expectation regarding what forensic science can accomplish based on watching tv. Precision: that they are always precise and correct, that they never make mistakes. Evidence never lies -people"s perception of evidence can be tainted. Equipment and training: that they have all of it to perform any test. Some equipment is fictional, does not exist in real life. Test: they can test everything because time and money do not matter. Dna test can be done instantly and are inexpensive. Suspect confessions: the suspect always confesses, no court side.
