Abomination of the body something physically different about the human body that makes them deviant/stigmatized (cid:523)people think you"re stranger and off putting(cid:524) Tribal stigma the stigma that comes along with your affiliation to a particular group (in his mind it was race behaviour, aggressive, dishonest and ethnicity: abomination of the body: Violates what the culture thinks the body is supposed to look like. Norm re: how people (cid:498)ought(cid:499) to look. Abomination of the body: physically disabled bodies (visibly, modified bodies, obese bodies. God made (cid:498)man(cid:499) in his image: european middle ages, physical disability, and the devil. Individuals who did not look normal were not in the image of god. Physically disabled were the work of satan.
