Scientific method of observation experiment and analysis. Over the last 400 years culture has embraced the scientific method. God created humanity on the 6th day. People liked how comforting this worldview was, rather than the social anxiety attached with other worldviews. University - everything studied could be traced back to theology. Every answer was looked for in the bible, everything was found in the bible. Nature - something you could study, but had less existence, nature was not seen as necessary to study since it is only a passing phase in our lives, not our final destination. Church did not ignore nature, they still studied it. God continued to play an active role in our everyday life, to the last blade of grass. The planets and the stars impacted your life. Heavenly spheres - planets are on the spheres. The medieval inheritance was hierarchical and monarchical - all governed by god. Four elements: earth, wind, fire, and water.
