Stimulus discrimination- tendency for a response to occur in the presence of one stimulus but not in the presence of other stimuli even if its similar. Ex: press lever only on green light -> discriminate green light on and off -> never reinforce when light is off so never touch lever (light is the discriminative stimulus) Ex: i like coors light but i hate every other beer.
