Cyberbullying has been an issue for over a decade and it is only getting worse. Cyberbullying is
harassment through means of electronics and social networks; it can occur through text
messages, yet with the way society operates in current day, it most commonly occurs through use
of social networks. Cyberbullying includes, but is not limited to: rumours, racial remarks, threats,
and the release of information. One of the main issues with cyberbullying is the ability for the
“bully” to hide behind a screen, causing them to make harsher remarks online than they would in
person. This among with other varying factors, causes cyberbullying to be worse than traditional
in-person bullying.
