Concepts of relatedness that are very different from ours. Not in terms of reproduction but in two terms: what they eat, where they live. People live in large houses with other families. Eating together is a central focus of what it means to belong in a household. Houses are centered around women since they cook in the heart. Relatedness begins in the womb and keeps going until you are dead. Until birth children are fed by the mother"s blood. After birth children are fed by the mother"s milk. After they stop drinking milk they start eating rice together around the heart of the house. Blood is said to be produced by eating rice. Blood is continuously transformed by what you eat. People who live together and eat together makes people related because by eating similar things they believe that they become more similar.
