Document Summary
Sensory memory: high capacity, brief (~100ms, has impact on sensory mechanism, present on all 5 senses but noiced more when it comes to vision, atenion is important to move to short term memory (more speciic) Short term memory: about 20s, limited (7+/- 2 items, rehearsal: to keep info for more than 20s. Long term memory: long duraion, a lot of capacity, there can be errors in retrieval b/c: error in encoding or retrieval errors. Most info is kept for about 20 mins 1 hour when there is no atempt to retain it. Overlearning: coninue to rehearse even ater you can recall it. 20 words for repeiion and 20 for visualizaion. Not looking for someone to remember words in order. Hypothesis: visualizaion recall should be higher than repeiion. Signal detecion chart: if you have a simulus (sound) and you said yes ok, but if you heard it and you said no, that"s a miss.
