Borderline personality disorder unable to change your personality to fit the norms of the situation. Trait: consistent patterns of thoughts, feelings or actions that distinguish people: assumption traits are table over time, assumptions traits are stable across situations. People differ on continuous variables or dimensions. Traits are used to understand and predict behavior.
