Document Summary

Classic os vs. rp is individuals suing corporations: other theories. Ability to set an agenda: things people don"t pay attention to do not go to court, ex. smoking bad for the public, it was hard to get that knowledge out. Most entrenched level of power: makes the other party not even realize that they have any dispute/issue in the first place, through outright deception, persuasion, etc, ex. smoking advertisements show how cool smoking is. Problem: they will get more money doing something illegal, even with paying the fine. Money is like nothing to them, they will continue their actions. We personify companies and feel sympathy for them, ex. we love our iphones and mac books and do not want to sway from apple no matter what they do. Structural issues decentralized decision-making, no one person to blame, organizational structure. You can"t physically take a corporation to court.
