Permissive: too soft submit to kids desires, pushovers, not enforcing rules. Authoritative: just right enforce rules and limits, explain, discuss, listen, or standards (warm) (control) respect child"s ideas and wishes (warm control) During puberty brain stops automatically adding new connections and becomes more efficient by rewiring . Pruning, coasting well used connections in myelin (speed up nerve conduction)
