Not allowing makahs to continue their culture. Promote makah culture & not just trying to kill whales. Spent so much money trying to show how culture of whaling was historic. Enabled makah tribe to participate in scientific & conservation efforts of. Show dedication to whale conservation & how important grey whales were to. Had to fundraise & make money of their own. Every treaty has a federal statute that pertain to federal laws. Makah tribes are having to address change in a healthy manner. On how federal treaties are going to stand up in court.
