Competes with human in any way shape or form. In modern industrial agriculture, pesticide use and reduction of biodiversity results in less of these predators. Biopesticides are used by plants to protect themselves. Nicotine is a biopesticide we have extracted. Broad spectrum and narrow spectrum agents related to the target species. Broad= any living species- anything w a mitochondria. Private lawns contain more pesticides than even croplands. Ddt becomes less effective over time with controlling mosquitos because the populations are developing resistance to ddt they survive and reproduce offspring that are also resistant. Some chemicals are banned as a result of protective measures about pesticide use. The us still produced some chemicals even tho we have banned them, and exports them. Federal law does not limit the production and sale of chemicals that we can"t use domestically. India- elementary school children died from eating food that was exposed to this chemical.
