The bonding can be tough in this situation. Kangaroo care: for preterm babies, when the mother or father holds the baby against her or his skin. This warmth helps the preterm baby not just bond but feed and grow. Preterm babies that have had this kangaroo care have better physical and cognitive outcomes.
