A little bit of south america for you. To begin, i want to point out that it is great to know a little bit about the culture of other areas before visiting them (for a few reasons). Without knowing the culture, it makes it nearly impossible to fit in with the people there. Not assimilating into the culture can cost people their lives. Without knowing the areas language, for example, it makes it hard to move around. Being able to ask directions, conduct business, and talk to others requires an understanding of communication in that language. Making a cultural blunder means that is a failure to live there. For example, not speaking spanish fluently in south america would ruin your day quickly. Therefore, knowing some bits of information about culture will help you. Knowing some of the slight cultural differences can make you successful.
