Bi polar: episodes of intense mood swings (bipolar 1 or 2) Periods of being up and down hypomania, depressive. Hyperactive needs less sleep adds to the sleep deprivation. Episodes may last minimum of 4 days. Symptoms may worsen though lack of sleep and stress. Treatment: therapy (cognitive, behavioural); medications lithium toxic to the body. Patient may stop taking medication because they may begin to feel better. Past experience or memory of something that scares you. Something that could cause you to have anxiety. Gets really bad that its affects your daily life. People are sometimes taught to fear things because of the levels of danger. Avoid certain things that would remind the person of the phobia. Involving other people in life because of the phobia waking them up in their sleep screaming because of a nightmare. Take them to a therapist that would diagnose them. Exposure therapy had a phobia of spiders: exposed to the spider over and over again.
