Six signs= superficial charm, sense of self-worth, pathological lying, manipulative, lack of remorse, lack of empathy. Most common form of treatment is parent training. Borderline personality disorder- moods/relationships are unstable, poor self-image, feel empty, poor control over impulses; pervasive pattern of instability. Dialectical behavior therapy (dbt)- helps people cope with stressors that trigger suicidal behavior. Histrionic personality disorder- overly dramatic, seem almost to be acting; pervasive pattern of excessive emotionality and attention seeking. Narcissistic personality disorder- pervasive pattern of grandiosity in fantasy, need for admiration, and lack of empathy; all about themselves and always right; self-centered.
