Greenhouse effect is the trapping of infrared photons by molecules in the lower atmosphere. Above that is the stratosphere, followed by the thermosphere (and then the exosphere). Among the tps, earth is unique in having a stratosphere, which is hot partly from uv absorption. To raise the temperature of mars, we need to increase the atmosphere. Reversing condensation and chemical deposition frees up old atmosphere, or we can add new atmosphere (comets, asteroids) Not albedo (reflectivity), because venus has the highest amount of albedo and it"s the hottest. No rain/storms at the surface (precipitation evaporates on the way down!) Temperature the same everywhere (efficient heat transport) and all the time (no seasons) Sulfuric acid rain and high winds at high altitudes. Atmosphere incredibly dry (almost no water vapor) Positive feedback the change is amplified (marble on top of an upside down bowl) Negative feedback the change is counteracted (marble in bowl can"t get out)
