This is rosalia"s first pregnancy and she is unsure about some of the signs of labor that she is experiencing. She wants her husband and mother to remain with her as you ask her questions. She tells you that she has been experiencing some contractions for the last five hours, and they are occurring approximately every 6 to 7 minutes. 30 seconds, and they feel like menstrual cramps. 2 centimeters and is 50% effaced, you cannot reach presenting part and her membranes are intact. Her medical history is significant for appendicitis at age 5 and history of genital herpes with no outbreaks in the last 5 months, she has been on prophylactic valacyclovir since week 20.
