The julian calendar was replaced by the gregorian calendar and the astronomer. The geocentric model (earth is the center of the universe) was proposed by aristotle. This initiated new discussions about the universe. and ptolemy and lasted until the 17th century. The sub-lunar region extended from the earth to the moon. Everything behind the moon up to the end of the universe was the super-lunar region, existing out of aether. The sub-lunar region was made of earth, fire, water and air. Only two movements were existent: upwards (fire and air) and downwards (water and earth).
