Settler colonialism colonizing nations sends large numbers of settlers, often displacing/killing existing native populations. Imperialism is justified by the dehuminization of the people being conquered/displaced/killed. Framing them as subhuman or beastly , therefore their lives are not as valuable as european lives. Imperialism often involves or results in genocide, the deliberate killing of members of an ethnic group. Genocide can be done directly, through murder (e. g. the holocaust)
