A: it depends terrorism varies regionally over time. Worldwide rates of terrorism have remained constant over the past 50 y, but acts of terrorism in the west seem to be more prevalent today that in the past. Terrorists consider citizens as justified targets since citizens are responsible for government policies and cultural practices. Fanaticism: a person filled with excessive(and mistaken?) enthusiasm(especially in religion, but this applies to nationalism more generally) Lives altered(familial disruption, injury, destruction of property, sychological stress, refugees etc) Biological, chemical, nuclear weaponry alter the environment in un- documented ways. A range: 0 to 10% of gdp is there a bettr use of this money, or is this spending crucial. Our geopolitical future: cold war, from two superpowers (and allied nations) to one (u. s, the end of major wars between states, clash of civilizations, major clashes/conflict between the worlds, nine major civilizations/cultures, culture difference is the dominant factor.
