Incredible social (maybe too much so: behavior and cognitive profiles, no personal space, can"t replicate block construction and profound deficits in spatial reasoning, good in language. Example: obama: remarkable in both intelligence and in the athletic realm, good at multiple things, being able to take in information quickly, works across settings. For language: show significant skills in some areas but lacking in others. Information is gained exclusively through the sense and motor actions: development is sensorimotor, child perceives and manipulates information, but does not actually reason, knowledge cannot be acquired through reasoning, test case: knowledge of objects (i. e. , permanence) Sensorimotor stage (0-2 years: substage 1 (birth 1 month) Out of sight is out of mind : substage 2 (1 4 months) Sensorimotor is suite of primary circular reactions .
