There is no right or wrong answer. Once lincoln won, the southern states are calling for secession. Union is the north and the west. Each state wrote their own declaration of secession. Navy is under control of the union. General beauregard demanded the surrender of the navy. Lincoln resupplies and the confederacy open fire on the fort. What is different about this war compared to the civil war. North was larger but south had cotton. 800 people die, more than any other american battle to date. 4300 men killed, 18k wounded, 2k would die from injuries. This war is not about slavery but more about preserving the union, you can"t just secede. Captured slaves were returned to the owner. Slaves start disbehaving not doing anything productive. All slaves free unless returned to the union. They are treated worse than whites are. Irish competed with jobs and a riot broke out. Arrested for treason but he fled to canada.
