Study overview: hypothesis: a lack of sleep will hinder moral awareness in, conducted three diverse studies: an archival study of web searches; a 4-day diary study; and a lab experiment. Lack of sleep leads to difficulty directing and maintaining attentional processes: disproportionally impacts the prefrontal cortex alertness and attention. Leads to a decline in the metabolism of glucose = fuel.
