The article simply tries to find a relation between hearing loss and dementia. They found that hearing loss increases the chance of dementia and the worse the hearing loss the greater chance of developing dementia. They also studied to see if hearing aids helped reduce the risk of dementia, they found that to be not true. Nation conducted different studies to prove the claim. While some of the studies are complete, there are a few that are still in progress. They have a study that just opened last month and i"m sure they haven"t finished it yet although it does state some findings.
