Spatial nature or character of physical space. Spatial analysis is the key approach of geography. Geography can be defined into two categories: physical and human. Scientific method the approach to science that uses common sense in an organized and objective manner. Observations, questions and variables, hypothesis, testing, results, theory development. Great circle shortest route between 2 locations on planet earth. Each degree can be broken up into 60 minutes. Each minute can be broken up into 6o seconds. Lines of latitude run east west. Run east-west they are parallel on a sphere, and therefore they are often referred to as paraelles. 180 degrees of latitude are divided into 90 degrees to the north and 90 degrees to the south. They are referenced by degrees north or south. Run north-south and they converge at the poles. Each line starts at one pole and ends at the other.
