Orientation: biological sex, committing certain acts with the same sex. > intent to or actually reaching sexual gratification. Army had to change the distinction from homosexual acts to homosexual orientation because army men commonly engaged in such acts. Could remain in the army if they showed that their behavior deviated from their norm. To redefine: biological sex is just one aspect of what is desired in a partner. Includes people who perform these acts and people who desire to but don"t. Doesn"t include people who experimented and no longer feel. The right to be protected against violence.
