Lecture 10: cell compartments v: autophagy, nuclear transport and the peroxisome. Slide 4: early endosomal vesicles are engulfed by late endosome/multivesicular bodies to form lysosomes . Late endosome multivesicular body resembling endocytosis creates a liposome inside of the lysosome and the protein remains on the outside. Physically separate the lysosomal transmembrane proteins from the proteins and the fatty acids and cholesterol it does want to degrade and recover as individual components. At some point all things are degraded. There"s a way to tell apart as to which protein goes where. Proteins that will be targeted cargo proteins will be recognized by hrs, it puts a ubiquitin on it to be loaded. Escrt assembly is using the hrs proteins in the tag to now recognize that a vesicle is starting to be formed that will then close the gap. Upon assembly of the complex you get the vesicle to break off and is now inside creating the endosomal vesicle.
