Midterm - graded, will be given back in recitation this week. Also called group-based voting or michigan school of research. Micro-level i. ii. iii. iv. i. ii. iii. You can group people based on demographics, and then find interesting correlations. Some groups are chosen, some are given at birth. Argues that people who share similar experiences are likely to have similar preferences for the government. Since people from similar groups have similar experiences, they individually come to the decision to vote for the same candidates. People are members of groups, and so they then attempt to determine what preferences are best for that group. Then, figure out which party is supported by people like you. Find people who speak for your group, and then follow them. Center versus periphery (in paris versus in the outlying counties) Class refers to a wide range of issues/categorizations.
