Habitat selecion- behavioral choice of whether or not to live in certain places. Their concern was because the disease they spread. Zika is a current virus problem right now. They found that the mosquitos were breeding in rice paddies where the stems were a foot or shorter and not in the tall rice paddies. They were lying over the taller ones showing that they could disperse them while eliminates dispersal limitaion. But this leaves the quesion of why they were doing only the short rice ields. They did a transplant experiment where they took eggs from the short stem to the tall stem.
