Money from selling timber, heat from burning wood, etc. Forests provide goods (timber) and services (carbon sequestration, water, aesthetics) They"re being altered by logging, fires, and other disturbances. They are both a private good and a common-pool resource. Global population will reach 10 billion soon. We hope people will eat more protein-rich diets, because we will otherwise need to double our agricultural harvesting.
