Gender identity, gender expression, biological sex, sexual orientation. Your gender identity can be a mix of categories at once. Gender identity, gender expression/presentation, sex assigned at birth, sexually attracted to, romantically/emotionally attracted to. Behaviour associated with someone who holds a particular status. Role we"ve discussed how children try out different roles in their play: the role of the teacher, mom, dad, cowboy, boss, taxi driver, etc. all have particular behaviours and social expectations. Behaviour expected of a female or male in a particular culture. Gender role these are social expectations based on gender (usually visible gender) these can change over time, but sometimes get very sticky. Sex role for example women bear children. This is a sex role, determined by biology. Process by which people learn the characteristics of their group.
