Enmeshed (know everything about what"s going one with everyone else, no privacy or boundaries) Disengaged (more boundaries, privacy, keep to themselves, do not exchange a lot of info. ) Open (what you communicate to your friends and outsiders about your family, people are easily able to interact with the family) Closed (discourages in making relationships outside the home. Family secrets are events or info that family members hide from one another or from outsiders.
