Carbon atoms bonded to elements are organic. Organic contain hydrogen and/ or something else. Our bodies use both fats and sugars as storage molecules so we don"t have to eat continuously. Store information to make proteins in your body. Organic molecules carry the information that determines the function of living cells. Genes are sequences of nucleotides within dna. Genes are basic unit for making one protein. Building blocks of functional material in our dna. Like matter energy cannot be created or destroyed but can be transformed. When energy is released in any kind of reaction, the energy that is released is of lower quality than when we started. Things like heat or light cannot go into useful products (loss) Water is stored in the resevoir (potential energy) When the water is allowed to flow, it transfers into kinetic energy. We can do a lot of work with a small mass of material.
