PSY 320 Lecture Notes - Lecture 14: Standard Score, Performance Appraisal
Document Summary
Z score = (score mean) / sd. Define the key result areas you want to measure. Establish performance indicators for each key result area. Identify an average measure for each performance indicator. Ie. highest possible and midway from average to highest. Identify at least two levels of performance below baseline. Lowest possible and midway between lowest and baseline. Use a 100-point allocation system to weight each indicator. Collect data from employees (ie. over a six-month performance period) and assign a score (based on the closest performance level and the 1-5 scale on the right) Multiply the employees score by the weight to obtain a value. Add all the values to obtain an index. An index over 300 shows above average performance.
