Document Summary
Event 2: depression, many of us know what depression is like. We may have had days when we felt really sad or gloomy. For other college students, over longer stretches of extreme depression and a general lack of desire to do so, you might have earned enough too. Although most of us fluctuate by shifting moods and interest and energy levels, some people tend to be more vulnerable to depression than others. Once again, each of the six personality strategies has a distinct depression interpretation: depression is rage turned inward, according to sigmund freud, the founder of the psychoanalytic approach. Th at the moment, people are adequate to remove from depression and retain latent rage and aggression feelings. They may want to strike at family members, but a balanced personality does not openly convey these sentiments: psychoanalysts often argue that each of us has internalized society"s expectations and ideals that generally inhibit aggression speech.
