3 procedures commonly used in assessments are: assessment interviews, clinical observation of behavior, psychological tests, iq test, personality test. Ask the same exact question for every client. Client like it, they are more comfortable of it. Lost your reliability when you don"t ask the same question for everybody. Two general categories of psychological tests for use in clinical practice are: Don"t do the exact same questions for everyone: personality tests. Projections reveal hidden motives: eg: rorchach inkblot, tat (thematic apperception ), sentence completion, tat: ambiguous picture to tell a story. Too subjective, is not easy for psychologist to score it: objective personality tests. Many psychological problems have physical components either as: causal factors, symptom patterns. Eg: stroop color word test, rey-osterrieth complex figure. Developing integrated, coherent working model > utilizing individual or team approach > identifying de nitive picture vs. discrepancies.
