Patrol is the most visible of policing. Patrol officers are not always patrolling though . Demands of response overwhelm the ability of officers to effectively patrol. Larger departments, this is the primary task that patrol officers accomplish. Compromising their ability to successfully complete the patrol functions. Routine incident response responding to mundane calls for service; typically arrive, gather information, complete a report. Emergency response critical incident response issue is time- sensitive, and assistance is required immediately.
