Teratogens: environmental agents, drugs, alcohol, bacteria, viruses, chemicals. Alcohol: fetus alcohol syndrome is one of the leading causes of birth defects, causes heart, kidney, bones, cns issues. November 10, 2016: depends on how long and the extent of exposure.
