What makes one a good communicator: linguistic competence = use of grammar, syntax in a language, sociolinguistic competence = how to use & respond to the language appropriately. Properties of interpersonal construct system (dai): portray the person in question. According to constructivism, the number of separate personal constructs an individual has reflects the feature of differentiation.
