For the last lecture and next lectures, read chapters 28, 29, and 30. Cloning: engineering and propagating new pieces of dna. Dna is very small, so we manipulate it by: We often need to cut the dna at specific places, but not. We will end up with a mix of different fragments after. This results in the dna being mixed up still. To further sort the dna, transform it into bacteria, select and screen individual colonies. This gives us the correct dna product.
