Two perspectives (subject"s and yours: don"t insert own feelings, opinions, your perspective is through narrative, i suddenly realized don"t do this. No interiority (no emotions, thoughts, feelings: do not insert yourself in the story, write in 3rd person, do not write in 1st person, don"t focus on subject"s interiority because you have no access to them. Instead, describe body language and what they did (cry?) Show, don"t tell: focus on visible details. Ex: describe details of sadness: don"t use words that name emotions or feelings. Describe physical details of sadness (shakiness of voice, facial expressions, body language: don"t use words that convey moral or ethical judgement. Don"t tell the reader to what to think. Nothing is good/evil: don"t use words that simply name physical conditions (unless also described) Refusal to answer question may be part of the story. Describe meaningful silence/avoidance of particular painful part of the story.
