We are not acting the way rational people would act. Our friends/cultural groups aren"t taking action/don"t believe. Doing so contradicts a fundamental belief or value. The only way to move forward would be to take the economy perspective and use that to control the ecological and societal perspectives. Objective 6: the man who predicted katrina : clear scientific evidence that we know enough to know that bad things are going to happen. Objective 6: keeling curve : clear measurement in how badly we"re doing to decrease gases and such. Objective 6: video hurricane katrina: storm that drowned a city : hurricane pam was the computer simulation as a focus for a disaster exercise, simulation showed supposed stage 3 hurricane, ivor van heerden, the man who knew. Took the news public and sent emails. Knew 2 days before that this hurricane was going to sink the city. Mississippi river"s floodings: a football field every hour of wetlands disappeared.
