The main question: whether embryos are moral persons (or what kind of moral values they have) embryos are no question instrumentally valuable. It would be equally wrong to scratch a skin cell as it is to murder someone or kill an embryo and it would be just as wrong to kill cancer cells. Potentiality a cancer cell isolated in a lab could not turn into a human being, but an embryo could embryos have potentiality making an argument that life begins at implantation not conception.
