Clinton: textbook debate: prepared, pre-memorized response, articulated, provided many points she wanted to make. Trump: winged it: did(cid:374)"t take ad(cid:448)a(cid:374)tage of cli(cid:374)to(cid:374)"s dishonesty, defended himself in reactions, not many points. Difficult to do a fraction of their proposals. Can"t win or lose in a debate: more about how much the debate will affect the election. Not many changes from one debate: see trends and most recent polls. Both getting better recently (pre-debate) because many people changed from being undecided. Many proposed versions: different versions of constitutions in the 13th colony till the one now. Born of politics because it is a choice to solve issues. Politics = making decisions as groups = many disagreements. May be solutions outside of politics, many solutions: require us to act collectively. Coordination = agreements: easiest if everyone wants the same thing, after decide on solution -> implementation. Decide on who? (time and effort, resources) Public good = everyone benefits, non-excludable = possible to free-ride.
