The writers of the survey hope to decide whether or not engineering majors are the happiest. Sample space: the majors and responses on a scale of 1-10. Practice problem: we draw 2 cards from a standard deck, observe the color. We roll a six-sided die and observe value, then draw a card from a standard deck and observe its color.
