Fem 150: sex law has targeted, obscenity and distribution of porn materials, esp of youth. Must meet community standards in order for it to not be considered obscene. Obscenity still illegal today: lewd behavior and public sex, sodomy and homosexuality. Sodomy outside the charmed circle bc purely about pleasure, not reproductive: prostitution/pandering, brothels, sex trafficking, child prostitution, age offenses (age of consent) Age difference (i. e. 40 year old with 25 year old) doesn"t matter in terms of the law. Immigration restrictions: non-normative bodies, including disabled people. Interracial sex criminalized: communities had to operate underground; lived in fear of being raided & criminalized by police. Dude sex: jane ward argues that sex ads by straight ( str8 ) white men on. If desire is there, does it really mean the men aren"t gay: women are biggest consumers of gay porn, desire, practice, identity, racial differences expose hierarchies of power in sexual dynamics of desire, practice, and identity.
