The public of art and what art wants to accomplish are not the same. Art has to compete with a new set of culture. Is where for you to come and be overwhelmed at. To be surrounded by the beauty that reflects his or her wealthiness. B/c they see themselves as godlike figures. Goya painted them like how they might look like in the real life. People don"t want to look at some poor eating potatoes. Avant garde has shifted in some sense.
