Gainesville police charged two men with robbery and possession of a firearm after allegedly robbing first united bank of alachua at 1811 northeast 92nd st. 28-year-old clayton wayne mcdaniel, 681 northeast 51st lane, and 34-year-old hunter. Joseph williams, 1811 northeast 92nd street, entered the bank at 9:30 a. m. friday morning. There were no customers present when they went inside. Each man pulled out a handgun and pointed at the six bank tellers working. They ordered five of the tellers to lay down on the ground. Then, they forced the sixth teller, marisa crews, 23, to bring them the cash from the bank"s vault. Crews said they seemed like they had robbed a bank before because they were very calm. You read about things like this in the paper, she said, but you never expect it to happen to you.
